Moussaka

INGREDIENTS
  • Minced lamb meat
  • Normal minced meat
  • Big potatoes
  • Eggplant
  • Butter
  • Milk
  • Flour
  • White onion
  • Oregano
  • Thyme
  • Rosemary
  • Tomato paste
  • Gruyere cheese
  • Salt & pepper
  • Olive oil
RECIPE
  • Cut some white onion. Cook it in a pan with olive oil, thyme, oregano, rosemary on medium heat
  • Add the minced meat to the pan and cook it on high heat. Add tomato paste and season to taste
  • Preheat the oven at 140°C
  • Slice the potatoes and eggplant in rounds. Try to make every slice the same thickness
  • Place the minced meat in an oven dish. Add the potatoes and eggplant on top (see second picture). Season it with salt, pepper, olive oil, oregano and rosemary
  • Make a bechamel cheese sauce: melt some butter in a pot. Add a tablespoon of flour and mix this thoroughly. Add milk and keep stirring. Stir until it stars to thicken and add grated cheese, salt, pepper and nutmeg
  • Cover everything with the cheese sauce. Bake it in tho oven for 40 min at 180°. Cover it with a lid at first and take it of for the last 10 minutes
