Middle-eastern inspired meatballs w/ labne

INGREDIENTS

  • Minced chicken meat
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Spring onion
  • Labne 
  • Paprika powder
  • Oregano
  • Ras el hanout
  • Za’atar 
  • Shallot
  • Olive oil
  • Salt & pepper 


RECIPE

  • Chop a shallot and mix it with the minced chicken meat.
  • Add salt, pepper, ras el hanout, oregano and paprika powder to the minced meat. 
  • Tip: to check for taste you can always cook a small piece of minced meat in a pan beforehand
  • Roll the minced meat into meatballs and cook them in a pan with olive oil. Start on high heat, browning all sides and lower the heat to cook them all the way through
  • Spread the labne onto a plate and drizzle some olive oil on top. Add sesame seeds, za’atar, pomegranate seeds and chopped spring onion as a finishing touch
  • Serve this with a side salad or some turkish bread
