Ganda ham spaghetti meatballs

INGREDIENTS

  • Minced meat
  • Ganda ham
  • Pine nuts
  • Basil
  • Shallot
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Spaghetti
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Tomato paste
  • Canned tomatoes
  • Rosemary
  • Thyme
  • Oregano
  • Salt & pepper 
  • Olive oil 

RECIPE

  • Make the meatballs: mix the minced meat with chopped Ganda ham, chopped basil, pine nuts, grated parmesan cheese, oregano, rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper
  • Cook the meatballs in a pan with olive oil. Let them brown on both sides and lower the heat
  • Tomato sauce: coop a chopped shallot in some olive oil on medium heat. Add rosemary, thyme, oregano and tomato paste. Cook until fragrant. Add the cherry tomatoes and canned tomatoes and let this simmer. Add the sauce to the pan with the meatballs
  • Cook the pasta in salted water. Drain the pasta but save a cup of pasta water. Mix the pasta with the sauce, add some grated parmesan and a small amount of pasta water. Mix it on medium high heat until the sauce sticks to the pasta
  • Top it of with extra basil and parmesan cheese
